Will Crewe sets school record in 200 fly

ORANGE, Calif. – The Chapman University men's and women's swim and dive teams competed in a SCIAC meet featuring Redlands and Occidental earlier this morning, where the women earned a victory over the Bulldogs. Freshman William Crewe broke yet another school record, this time in the 200 butterfly.

The rookie was also part of the 200 medley relay that placed second with a time of 1:38.55, featuring fellow freshmen Josh Modglin and Justin Lammert and junior Quinn Gates. Modglin kept swimming well this afternoon, coming in first place in the 100 back with a time of 54.41.

Freshman Simon Duyungan qualified for regionals in the 1-meter boards with a career-best score of 279.85. The rookie placed first in the event, beating out the second place finisher by more than 20 points. Junior Kellyn Toole continues to be a force to be reckoned with, as she swept the diving events on the women's side with a score of 275.15 on the 1-meter board and 269.70 on the 3-meter board.

The women's 400 free relay team of sophomore Molly Davis, junior Kristina Fong, freshman Carina Laukaitis and senior Rachel Isaacs placed first with a time of 3:45.59. Davis went on to finish first in the 100 free with a time of 54.83.
