Three divers represent Chapman at NCAA Regionals

SAN ANTONIO, Texas – Three members of the Chapman University men's and women's dive team are competing in the NCAA Division III Regional Championship this weekend at Trinity University. Freshman Simon Duyungan is representing the men's team, while freshman Simran Rajani and junior Kellyn Toole are representing the women.

Duyungan competed in the 3-meter board earlier this afternoon, becoming the first male diver to compete at the NCAA Division III Regionals in Chapman program history. The rookie earned 10th place in his first NCAA appearance, finishing with a final score of 324.90.

Rajani and Toole were on the 1-meter board today. Toole finished in eight place with a finals score of 360.65. In Rajani's first NCAA competition, the rookie took 12th place with a score of 327.45.

Duyungan will represent the Panthers on the 1-meter board tomorrow while Rajani and Toole will switch to the 3-meter board as they finish out the weekend.
