Toole wins Regional title on 1-meter board

GRINNELL, Iowa – Senior diver Kellyn Toole made history for the second time in just as many days as she qualified for the NCAA Division III National Championships in the 1-meter board on Saturday afternoon. Toole took first place in the event to qualify for both diving championships.

The veteran – who reached the podium at the SCIAC Championships seven times in her career – qualified for nationals on both the 1-meter and 3-meter boards for the first time in school history.

Toole had a steady place in the top-3 throughout the entire 11-round event, but it was her final round score of 45.10 that propelled her into first place with a total score of 403.55.

She will head to the NCAA Division III National Championships in Greensboro, N.C. on Wednesday, March 20 to compete on both the 1-meter and 3-meter boards.
