Four swimmers recognized on CSC Academic All-District Teams

ORNAGE, Calif. – Four Chapman University swimmers qualified for the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District honors. Avery Hall and Meghan Kluck earned the distinction for the High Tops while Simon Jacobs and Cole Kershner were recognized for the Low Tops.

Hall and Kluck helped the Panthers to a fourth place finish at the SCIAC Championships. Kluck is a Chapman record-holder in the 100 breast and 50 free. She reached the podium in the 200 free relay, 400 medley relay and 200 medley relay while also posting a 3.792 GPA. Hall owns a 3.83 GPA and also won three medals at the SCIAC Championships as part of three relays. The Chapman record-holder in the 100 free anchored the 400 medley relay and 200 free relay to secure spots on the podium for both.

Kershner had a breakout season, winning the SCIAC title in the 50 free. She set the 50 free and 100 free records for Chapman on the way to his title-winning swim. Jacobs broke both breaststroke event records at the SCIAC Championships this year to place in the consolation final and help the High Tops to their best-ever finish at the SCIAC Championships. Both had GPAs over 3.7 and both were a part of several record-setting relays.

The 2022-23 Academic All-District® Men's and Women's Swimming & Diving Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances in the pool and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes swimming & diving honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA — for each gender.
