ORANGE, Calif. – The Chapman University men's and women's track and field teams competed in the SCIAC Multi-Dual #2 this weekend at Occidental College. Six Panthers set personal records at the meet.

Senior Michiko Yee and sophomore Mia Hernandez finished eighth and ninth in the 1500-meter run. Yee recorded a personal-best time of 5:10.13, while Hernandez finished just over a second later at 5:11.41 for a personal record. Sophomore Nika Cokas finished just behind them in 13th place with a personal-best time of 5:23.18.

Sophomore Sheridan Scifres also set a personal record, running the 800-meter run in 2:33.05, coming in sixth place.

Rookie Lauren Miller had a day, setting personal records in both of her events. The freshman took second place in the shotput with a throw of 11.08 meters (36.35 feet), and fourth place in the discus with a throw of 34.01 meters (111.58 feet). The men's field events were led by senior Mitchell Bouldin, who came in first place in the long jump with a leap of 6.82 meters (22.38 feet). The senior is currently ranked number two in the long jump in the SCIAC.

The sixth and final personal record came from sophomore Cedric Cole, who placed second in discus with a personal-best 38.05 meters (124.84 feet). He also took third in the shotput with a throw of 11.09 meters (36.38 feet).

The Panthers travel to Pomona April 7 to compete in the Pomona-Pitzer Invite.
