Track & field teams honored from academic excellence
NEW ORLEANS – Both track & field teams at Chapman University were recognized for their academic work. The U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association annually recognizes college teams from all levels of the NCAA and NAIA for academic excellence.
The men's and women's teams both exceeded the minimum requirement to earn the distinction. The USTFCCCA honors teams above a 3.0 team GPA. The men's team posted a 3.23 team GPA this year while the women's team was one of the highest on campus with a 3.44 team GPA.
In total, the USTFCCCA honored 291 NCAA Division III teams as All-Academic – 185 women's teams and 106 men's teams.
