Track & field teams achieve academic recognition
NEW ORLEANS – The Chapman University track & field teams far exceeded the benchmark set by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association to be recognized as an All-Academic Team. The USTFCCCA annually honors collegiate teams from all divisions of the NCAA and NAIA with at least a 3.1 team GPA.
Both teams improved on their respective GPAs from one year ago. The women's team posted a 3.56 team GPA and the men's team ended the year with a 3.33 team GPA.
In total, the USTFCCCA honored 297 NCAA Division III teams as All-Academic – 184 women's teams and 113 men's teams.
