Criswell repeats as SCIAC Athlete of the Week

ORANGE, Calif. - For the second consecutive week, sophomore Lucy Criswell was honored as the SCIAC Athlete of the Week. She continued a dominant SCIAC season with 16.7 points and seven rebounds per game over three games, including her first career double-double with 17 points and 10 rebounds against Whittier.

Criswell has emerged as an offensive threat this year and ranks fourth in the SCIAC in scoring during the conference season. She also ranks second in three-point shooting percentage at 45.9 while ranking third in the conference with 2.4 made threes per game. Defensively, Criswell ranks fourth in blocks and sixth in steals.

The Portland, Ore. native has helped the Panthers to a historic 7-0 start to SCIAC play, including three wins this week against Cal Lutheran, Whittier and defending conference champions Claremont-Mudd-Scripps. Criswell's 16 points and seven rebounds on Saturday afternoon helped the Panthers to their first win over the Athenas since 2014.

The Panthers head out on the road for a matchup with Occidental on the road on Wednesday at 7 p.m. but are back in Hutton Center for a non-conference game with Hope International on Thursday at 7 p.m.
