Chapman University’s student-athletes matched their record number with 221 SCIAC All-Academic selections in for the 2018-19 school year. The Panthers had the fourth-most selections of the nine schools in the SCIAC.

Chapman women’s basketball senior Jaryn Fajardo was honored with a d3hoops.com All-America selection earlier this weekend. The record-setting guard landed a spot on the Fourth Team and is just the second Panther in program history to earn All-America accolades.

The fans have voted senior Jaryn Fajardo into the Beyond Sports Touts Division III All-Star Game. With over 2,800 votes in the fan poll, Fajardo was nearly 900 votes ahead of anyone else to earn one of the final two spots on the 20-woman roster.

The Chapman University women’s basketball team kept its streak alive with its seventh consecutive trip to the SCIAC Postseason Tournament. The Panthers enter the tournament as the No. 3 seed with a 16-9 overall record and an 11-5 record in the SCIAC. They travel to take on second-seeded Pomona-Pitzer (20-5, 14-2 SCIAC) at 7 p.m.

Senior Jaryn Fajardo became just the ninth player in Chapman’s NCAA Division III history to join the 1,000 points club earlier this evening as she went off for 26 points against the visiting Cal Lutheran Regals. The guard led the Panthers to a 74-66 point victory on the historic night.
