Ten players score in win over Pitt-Greensburg

ORANGE, Calif. – The Chapman University women's basketball team snapped a three-game skid with a 76-48 win over visiting Pitt-Greensburg on Saturday. The Panthers had 10 different players score in the lopsided victory.

Chapman (7-4) started the game on an 11-2 run and the Bobcats (4-7) never came closer than six as Chapman cruised to the win. Junior Lucy Criswell had a game-high 17 points while senior Jaryn Fajardo had 15 points to go along with seven assists and a steal.

While Criswell and Fajardo were the only two Panthers in double digits, the Chapman bench put up 28 points. Freshman Julia Strand scored eight while fellow freshman Julianna Campas scored six points with three assists. Freshman Kelsey Dobbs scored six points in just seven minutes off the bench.

After the fast start, the Panthers grew the lead to 21-12 by the end of the first quarter and had a 47-27 lead at halftime. The Panthers' defense forced the Bobcats into 23 turnovers and held them to just 28.3 percent shooting. Freshman Caitlin Felts had four of the Panthers' 17 steals. The Bobcats did not score more than 15 points in any quarter while the Panthers' lowest quarter output was a 14-11 advantage in the third.

Chapman will continue its busy holiday break schedule with a game against Brooklyn College tomorrow at 5 p.m. at Whittier College.
