Fan vote can send Fajardo to All-Star Game

ORANGE, Calif. - SCIAC Athlete of the Year Jaryn Fajardo is one of eight players up for the final two spots in the inaugural Beyond Sports Women's Collegiate All-Star Game presented by the WBCA. The final two seniors will be selected from a fan vote until Sunday, Mar. 10.

The inaugural Division III All-Star Game will take place on Mar. 16 at the Cregger Center on the campus of Roanoke College in Salem, Va. precending the national championship game. Tip off is set for 5 p.m.

Fajardo put the finishing touches on a standout career that included three All-SCIAC selections, including being named this year's Athlete of the Year. She is one of just two active players in Division III - and the only in Chapmn history - to score over 1,000 points, grab over 500 rebounds, dish out over 400 assists and swipe over 200 steals.

She put her best numbers in her senior season with career-highs of 17.3 points, 7.3 rebounds, 5.0 assists and 2.7 steals per game.

A committee of coaches selected 18 seniors to the inaugural All-Star Game but left the final two spots to be selected by the fans. The fan vote is open now until 9 a.m. (PT) on Sunday.
