Fajardo becomes just second Panther to earn All-America honors

ORANGE, Calif. – Chapman women's basketball senior Jaryn Fajardo was honored with a d3hoops.com All-America selection earlier this weekend. The record-setting guard landed a spot on the Fourth Team and is just the second Panther in program history to earn All-America accolades.

Fajardo caps off an incredible senior season with this award after earning SCIAC Athlete of the Year and All-West Region First Team honors. She led the Panthers in all aspects of the game this season with 17.3 points, 7.3 rebounds, five assists and 2.7 steals per game. The three-time All-SCIAC selection also ranked in the top-40 in the nation with 402 career steals.

The Torrance native became the first player in Chapman history to record over 1,000 points, 500 rebounds, 400 assists and 200 steals in her career. She ranks in the top-5 in Chapman history in every category and is just one of two active Division III players to reach all four milestones.

Fajardo finished out her Chapman basketball career by representing the Panthers at the inaugural Division III All-Star Game held on Saturday, March 16 before the National Championship.
