Criswell honored again after tying scoring record

ORANGE, Calif. – Senior Lucy Criswell ended her career with a record-tying night and SCIAC Offensive Athlete of the Week honors. Criswell scored 38 points in a triple overtime win at Caltech to grab her second weekly honor in a row.

Criswell's new career-high made her the third player in Chapman history to score 38 points in a game. She joined Nicole Hayman from 2007 and Natasha Donelson from 1983 at the top of the record book for single game scoring.

The forward from Portland, Ore. had just seven points at halftime but scored 15 in the second half and another 13 across the overtime periods. She scored eight of the Panthers' 10 points in the third overtime before fouling out and delivered the knockout blow with back-to-back threes to make it 93-87 with less than a minute to go.

Criswell became just the third Panther in the Division III era to surpass 1,300 career points and is the only on to finish with over 1,300 points, 500 rebounds and 100 blocked shots.
