Lewis finishes in top-10 at SCIAC Championship

CHINO HILLS, Calif. – The Chapman University women's golf team concluded its inaugural season with the final round of the SCIAC Championship at Los Serranos Country Club. Sophomore Emily Lewis climbed into the top-10 with her best round of the tournament.

Lewis was six-over par in the third round to finish in ninth with a 240 (+24). After opening the tournament with an 83, she shot a 79 in the second round and a 78 in the final round. She parred 12 holes to finish up her first season at Chapman.

Freshman Brittany Bilek shot a 90 (+18) in the third round to finish up the tournament with a three-round score of 269 (+53). Freshman Haylie Bantle finished in 35th with a 272 (+56) for the tournament.

Claremont-Mudd-Scripps won the team title with the Athenas' Emma Kang winning individual medalist honors.

The Panthers wrapped up their inaugural season with the final round of the SCIAC Championship.
