Lewis highlights inaugural season with All-SCIAC selection

ORANGE, Calif. – Sophomore Emily Lewis capped the Chapman University women's golf team's inaugural season with All-SCIAC Second Team honors. Lewis led the Panthers throughout their first year on the course.

The Los Alamitos, Calif., native made the most of her first year with steady improvement. She averaged 82.4 strokes per round this year but was below 80 strokes in three of her last four rounds of the year and five of the last eight.

After taking 24th in SCIAC #1, Lewis placed in the top-10 in both SCIAC #2 and the SCIAC Championship to finish out the season strong.

The Panthers teed off for the first time in school history this fall and played 14 rounds throughout the first year.  Lewis was one of two golfers to play in all 14 rounds to lead the Panthers through the inaugural season.
