Women's golf takes second at CA State Intercollegiate

ORANGE, Calif. – Junior Emily Lewis turned in the best scorecard in the short history of Chapman women's golf to lead the team to a second-place finish at the CA State Intercollegiate. Lewis finished fourth overall and the Panthers finished second among 11 teams in the tournament, including five SCIAC teams.

Lewis stayed near the top of the leaderboard as she shot a three over 75 and finished the tournament three-over par. Sophomore Kristy Harada finished in a tie for sixth on leaderboard after turning in a two-day score of 150 (+6). Junior Marisa Bhanubandh took five strokes off yesterday's 80 to shoot a three-over par 75 today and finish just 11-over par for the tournament in 14th.

Junior Brittany Bilek showed a dramatic improvement from yesterday's 91 with a 78 (+5) on day two. She took 13 strokes off her day one score to help the Panthers drop their team score overall.
