Bhanubandh leads women’s golf in spring opener

LOS SERRANOS, Calif. – The Chapman University women's golf team competed against Whittier, Pomona-Pitzer and Occidental in its first meet of the spring season. The Panthers finished fourth overall on the par 72 course with a team score of 385 (+97).

Junior Marisa Bhanubandh was the top finisher for Chapman, shooting 13 over par to earn a 12th place finish. The rest of the women's squad finished in spots 20-23. Sophomore Haylie Bantle finished with a score of 93 (+21), while senior Brittany Bilek finished next at 103 (+31). Sophomore Alison Lee came in next right behind Bilek, shooting 32 over par and freshman Brooke Leet ended the day with a score of 117 (+45).

The Panthers take a couple weeks off before heading to San Bernardino, Calif. on February 24 and 25 for their first SCIAC meet of the spring season.
