Lewis finishes second overall against Hope

YORBA LINDA, Calif. – The Chapman University women's golf team competed against Hope International at the Black Gold Golf Course this past Friday. Junior Emily Lewis led the Panthers with a second place finish.

Royals junior Keilee Bessho took first place on the 72-par course, shooting a 77 (+5). Lewis finished just a few strokes behind her with a score of 82 (+10). Junior Malia Valder placed fourth overall four strokes behind Lewis at 86 (+14).

Senior Brittany Bilek and sophomore Alison Lee finished seventh and eighth overall, respectively. Bilek shot a 101 (+29) while Lee finished with a score of 110 (+38).

The Panthers take this week off but head out to Redlands, Calif. on March 25-27 for the Bulldog Invitational.
