Women’s golf finishes tied for eighth at Bulldog Invitational

ORANGE, Calif. – The Chapman University women's golf team tied for eighth place after competing in the Bulldog Invitational at the Indian Springs Golf Club this past Monday and Tuesday. Junior Marisa Bhanubandh led the Panthers, shooting 160 (+16) after two rounds.

Bhanubandh shot 79 (+7) in the first round, followed by 81 (+9) in the second. Junior Emily Lewis finished just one stroke behind her after shooting 77 (+5) in the first round and 84 (+12) in the second. Junior Malia Valder finished both rounds with a score of 169 (+25) and freshman Lauren Settle finished just one stroke behind at 170 (+26) after shooting 81 (+9) on day one and 89 (+17) on day two. Senior Brittany Bilek was the only Panther to improve after her day one score of 95 (+23), shooting 93 (+21) on the second day of competition.

Bhanubandh led the pack, finishing tied for 25th overall with Lewis just one stroke back tied for 27th overall.

The Panthers take this weekend off but head to Pasadena, Calif. on April 7 and 8 for SCIAC No. 2.
