Women’s golf falls to fourth place after second day of championships

PASADENA, Calif. – The Chapman University women's golf team fell back one spot in the standings to fourth place after shooting a 332 (+44) after the second day of competition at the SCIAC Championships. Senior Marisa Bhanubandh propelled eight spots up in the individual standings.

Bhanubandh shaved nine strokes off her day one score to shoot an 80 (+8) for a two-day score of 169 (+25). Fellow senior Emily Lewis remained in the top-5 after shooting six-over par today. The captain is tied for fourth place overall with a total score of 155 (+11).

Sophomore Lauren Settle and freshman Kristen Lee are tied for 21st place overall. Settle dropped nine spots after adding seven strokes to her day one score for a two-day score of 167 (+23). Lee also fell in the individual standings after shooting an 89 (+17) this afternoon.

Freshman Sydnee Dimascio shot a 95 (+23) today while sophomore Brooke Leet shaved nine strokes off her score to move up three spots with a total score of 183 (+39).

The Panthers head back out to the links tomorrow morning at 8 a.m. for the third and final day of the SCIAC Championships.
