Truong in top-10, women's golf fourth at SCIAC #2
POMONA, Calif. – Rachel Truong finished in the top-10 and the Chapman University women's golf team took fourth at SCIAC #2 at Mountain Meadows Golf Course. The Panthers took eight strokes off their team score on Sunday to stay in fourth place.
As a team, the Panthers finished with a 658 (+82) and finished the two-round tournament with a 325 (+37).
Truong vaulted five spots up the leaderboard with a five-over 77, which was tied for the third-best round of the day. She finished the tournament in eighth place with 14-over par with a 158. Kristen Lee was five strokes better on the second day to finish 17-over par with a 161 in 15th place.
Emily Cho took 21st individually with a 169 (+25). Kaitlyn Vetica's 170 (+26) placed her 22nd on the leaderboard to round out the scoring for Chapman.
The Panthers head into the SCIAC Championships April 24-26 at Tukwet Golf Course in Beaumont, Calif.
