Five Panthers named to IWLCA All-Region teams

Five student-athletes from the Chapman University women’s lacrosse team earned All-Region honors as announced today by the Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches Association. Three Panthers earned first team honors while two more were second team selections.
SCIAC title rematch on tap for NCAA Second Round

Chapman will take on conference-rival Pomona-Pitzer for the fourth time this season when the two faceoff on Sunday at 4 p.m. in the second round of the NCAA Division III Women’s Lacrosse Championship. The two last met a week ago in the championship match of the SCIAC Tournament.
Women's lacrosse lands program-record seven on All-SCIAC teams

The Chapman University women's lacrosse team had a program-record seven players selected to the All-SCIAC teams, the conference announced on Wednesday. Senior Brooke Martini, juniors Dillan Watts, Tara Sonnemaker, Gretchen Rodenberger and sophomore Stacey Zuppa headlined the first team. Senior pair Alessandra Porfido and Kelsey Mackin each earned second team honors.

For the first time in school history, the Chapman University women’s lacrosse team earned a bid into the NCAA Division III Women’s Lacrosse Championship. The Panthers were pinned against Pomona-Pitzer in a rematch of last night’s SCIAC Championship.

The Chapman University women’s lacrosse team came up on the wrong side of a back-and-forth battle with a 10-9 loss in the SCIAC Tournament championship match at Pomona-Pitzer. The lead changed hands three times and the match was tied five times in a tight battle throughout.

Junior Gretchen Rodenberger netted four goals to lead the Chapman University women’s lacrosse team to a 10-7 victory over Claremont-Mudd-Scripps in the SCIAC Semifinals on Saturday afternoon. The win advances Chapman to the SCIAC Tournament Championship for the second time in school history and was the Panthers first over CMS this season.

Junior Tessa Oliaro scored just one goal in the match, but made it a big one as she skipped in the game-winner in a 9-8 win over Pomona-Pitzer on Wednesday. Oliaro’s deciding goal came with just 31 seconds left in the match.
