Women's lacrosse earns first NCAA bid in school history

ORANGE, Calif. – For the first time in school history, the Chapman University women's lacrosse team earned a bid into the NCAA Division III Women's Lacrosse Championship. The Panthers were pinned against Pomona-Pitzer in a rematch of last night's SCIAC Championship.

Chapman and Pomona-Pitzer will meet for the fourth time this season on Sunday, May 15 in the second round of the tournament. Both teams received first round byes in the 40-team tournament.

The Sagehens won last night's title match 10-9 in a seesaw affair. The Panthers won the first two matchups this season.

Chapman travels back to Claremont to take on the Sagehens. Match time has not been set yet.
