Chapman dominates visiting Linfield 17-1

ORANGE, Calif. – The Chapman University women's lacrosse team routed the visiting Linfield College 17-1 tonight at Wilson Field. The Panthers were led by sophomore Danielle Zahn who had four goals on the night.

Zahn was the leading goal scorer, followed by senior Kelsey Mackin, who added three goals of her own. Chapman also recorded nine assists, with freshman Danelle Lucero and junior Becka Wachtel both tallying two assists each.

Chapman came out strong, shutting out the Wildcats and scoring 12 goals in the first half. Senior goalkeeper Tara Sonnemaker allowed just one goal in over 55 minutes of play.

The Panthers outshot Linfield 45-4, dominating throughout most of the game.

Chapman plays their next three games on the road, but will return to Wilson Field on April 15 to face Redlands in another SCIAC game.
