Oliaro nominated for NCAA Woman of the Year
ORANGE, Calif. – Recently graduated women's lacrosse student-athlete Tessa Oliaro was recently nominated for the NCAA Women of the Year. The NCAA announced its list of nominees in a release this week.
Oliaro recently wrapped up her career on the lacrosse field and completed her undergraduate degrees in the sciences. She was a four-year member of the women's lacrosse program at Chapman, helping the team from its infancy to an NCAA berth in 2016.
As a student, Oliaro graduated with a 3.55 GPA and two degrees. She secured two Bachelors' in Environmental Science & Policy as well as Health Sciences. She won awards and grants for her undergraduate research in the lab.

The Panthers' Oliaro is one of a record-setting 543 nominees from institutions across the nation and all three divisions of the NCAA. Division III accounted for 197 nominations and Oliaro is one of just 26 lacrosse student-athletes from all three divisions to be nominated.
Established in 1991 and now in its 27th year, the NCAA Woman of the Year award honors graduating female college athletes who have exhausted their eligibility and distinguished themselves in academics, athletics, service and leadership throughout their collegiate careers.
