Zahn makes history, earns SCIAC weekly award

ORANGE, Calif. - Senior midfielder Danielle Zahn was honored as the SCIAC Offensive Athlete of the Week after putting up record numbers this past weekend.

This past weekend, Zahn scored her 100th career goal in a comeback victory against Redlands. The Mission Viejo native is the fifth player in school history to reach 100 career goals and currently ranks fifth in program history with 101 goals and 123 points. Her seven goals and eight total points against the Bulldogs ties both the single-game goal record and single-game points record at Chapman.

Zahn started the Panthers' epic comeback with a goal in the second half that began a run that pulled the Panthers from down 14-6 to up 20-15.

The team captain also tallied a total of 14 draw controls and six ground balls on the week as the Panthers fell 13-12 to Framingham State on Thursday evening.
