Thompson earns SCIAC Defensive Athlete of the Week

ORANGE, Calif. – Senior defender Shelby Thompson earned this week's SCIAC Defensive Athlete of the Week after helping the Panthers to a 15-8 victory over Kalamazoo College on Tuesday afternoon.

The captain picked up six ground balls and caused three turnovers as she kept the Hornets out of Chapman's defensive half. Thompson and the Chapman defense held Kalamazoo to just eight goals, the least amount of goals they have allowed this season.

The Panthers return to the field on Saturday, April 6 as they head to Occidental before coming back to Wilson Field on Wednesday, April 10 to host Whittier at 7 p.m.
