Danielle Zahn 2019 CoSIDA Academic All-American

Zahn finishes career with Academic All-America accolade

ORANGE, Calif. – With a perfect GPA and a litany of school records, Chapman University women's lacrosse standout Danielle Zahn has been recognized as an Academic All-American. Among the pool of student-athletes with perfect GPAs and a multitude of on-field honors, Zahn's academic and athletic achievements landed her on the CoSIDA Google Cloud Academic All-America At-Large Second Team.

With all of her accomplishments on and off the field, Zahn is just the second Chapman female to earn the highly selective distinction as an Academic All-American on the At-Large Team. The At-Large teams include a variety of sports: lacrosse, tennis, swimming & diving, field hockey, golf, water polo, beach volleyball and rowing.

Through four years at Chapman University, Zahn finished her undergraduate degree in Psychology with a 4.0 GPA. She was one of 18 selections on the three Division III At-Large teams to achieve a 4.0 GPA – 12 of which were seniors or graduate students.

While dominating in the classroom, she was also a three-time All-SCIAC selection and an IWLCA All-West Region selection in 2019. Zahn holds the school records for draw controls and ground balls and demolished the single season school record with 81 draw controls this season. She broke seven different school records over her four years as a Panther and ended her career with the second-most goals in program history.

The Panthers' star midfielder was selected to the Academic All-District Team in May and was Chapman's 26th Academic All-America selection overall since 1983.
