Bio

Courtney Novak was born and raised in New Jersey where she began playing lacrosse in the second grade. She attended Watchung Hills Regional High School in Warren, N.J. where she was a three-year varsity starter on the lacrosse team and played for T3 Elite Lacrosse in the summers. She attended Ursinus College (NCAA III) in Collegeville, Pa. where she played her freshman year as a defender before suffering a knee injury that took her from the game.

By her junior year, she was Spring-Ford High School’s (Royersford, Pa.) head JV and assistant varsity coach for two years, advancing to the PAC-10 championship the second season.

After graduation from Ursinus, she moved to Southern California to attend Long Beach State University to pursue her Masters is Sport and Exercise Psychology to assist athletes with the mental side of sport by working as a sport psychology consultant for high school and college teams. She became Los Alamitos High School’s assistant varsity coach in 2017 and is now in her second season as head varsity coach.

Novak has been a T3 Elite Lacrosse coach (Basking Ridge, N.J.) for the last six summers and is in her second fall/winter season with SoCal Express.

She is the daughter of Steve and Laura Novak who still live in Millington, N.J. and her sister, Kelly Novak is senior captain at McDaniel College in Westminster, Md.
