ORANGE, Calif. –  A two-goal game by junior F Fionna Connolly gave the University of Redlands a 2-1 win over the Chapman University women's soccer team in the first round of the NCAA Division III Women's Soccer Championships on Thursday night at Wilson Field.

In the 35th minute, Redlands (11-9) got out to a 1-0 lead on a breakaway goal by Connolly who got behind Chapman's defense off an assist by sophomore M Samantha Rivera and capitalized on a one-on-one opportunity against the goalie.
