ORANGE, Calif. –The National Soccer Coaches Association of America recognized the Chapman University women's soccer team for its exemplary work in the classroom during the 2015-16 school year. This is the third consecutive year the Panthers have earned this prestigious award.

Every fall, the NSCAA recognizes all men's and women's soccer teams that earn above a 3.0 team GPA during the previous school year. This year, 892 teams (314 men, 578 women) earned the College Team Academic Award.

The Panthers posted a team GPA of 3.56 to earn the award for the seventh time in program history. The 2015 team improved Chapman's GPA from a 3.47 last season to over a 3.5 in the 2016 season. In addition, Chapman landed a team-high 20 Panthers on the SCIAC All-Academic team.
