Record number of student-athletes achieve academic distinction

Chapman University student-athletes raised the bar with a record number of 220 SCIAC All-Academic selections for the 2017-18 school year. This year marks the first time in Chapman’s six-year history in the SCIAC that more than 200 Panthers were included on the All-Academic teams.

Holloway selected to All-West Region for second year

Sophomore Faith Holloway was selected to the United Soccer Coaches All-West Region Team for the second consecutive year. The defender was honored with Third Team recognition.
Pair of Panthers named to All-SCIAC Second Team

A pair of Panthers were named to the All-SCIAC Team on Wednesday morning. Junior Lindsay Erl and sophomore Faith Holloway were both recognized for their work on the field, earning Second Team honors for the second year in a row.
Farber's hat trick sends off seniors with big win

Freshman Emmie Farber highlighted a historic offensive output with a hat trick in a 6-2 win over visiting La Verne on Senior Day. The Panthers (9-9, 5-9 SCIAC) closed out the season with its third win in the last four matches.
Brown nets overtime goal for 1-0 victory

The Chapman women’s soccer team defeated the visiting Claremont-Mudd-Scripps 1-0 in overtime this afternoon at Wilson Field. Junior Shelby Brown netted the game-winning goal in the first overtime to lift the Panthers over the Athenas.

Men’s and women’s soccer recognized for academic excellence

The Chapman University men’s and women’s soccer teams were both recognized today, Oct. 5, for their academic excellence as the United Soccer Coaches (formerly the NSCAA) announced its annual Team Academic Award Winners. Out of 816 total collegiate teams (283 men, 533 women) the Panthers were one of 197 schools that had both its men’s and women’s programs recognized.
Women’s soccer falls despite late-game push

The Chapman University women’s soccer team fought hard to come back from an early deficit, but lost 3-2 to Occidental on Saturday morning. Senior Ashley Carney came up big on both defense and offense, scoring the first Panther goal to bring the Panthers even with the Tigers in the first half.
Women's soccer blanks Redlands to snap skid

The fourth shutout of the year helped the Chapman University women’s soccer team snap a three-match slide with a 2-0 victory over visiting Redlands. The Panthers (6-3, 2-3 SCIAC) also improved to 3-1 on their home turf.

The Chapman University women’s soccer team lost their first game of the season 3-1 to Cal Lutheran on Saturday night. The Panthers’ only goal of the night was scored by freshman Morgan Lynch.

A perfect pass was struck perfectly into the upper right corner of the goal as the Chapman University women’s soccer team kept its early season win streak going with a 3-2 double overtime win over No. 16 Pomona-Pitzer. The Panthers (5-0, 1-0 SCIAC) had three different goal scorers and are 5-0 for the first time since 2012.

The Chapman University women’s soccer team improved to 3-0 on the season with a 3-0 a win over Emerson College on Sunday afternoon at Wilson Field in its season home-opener. Sophomore Jordyn Bradbury lent a hand in every goal, netting a pair and recording an assist in the win.
