Brown nets couple of game-winners to earn SCIAC award

ORANGE, Calif. – Senior women's soccer midfielder Shelby Brown earned the SCIAC Offensive Athlete of the Week after helping the Panthers to a 2-0 week.

Chapman posted two wins last week, including a huge 1-0 victory over the Occidental Tigers in which Brown netted the game-winner off a corner kick. The Newport Beach native also notched the game-winning goal in the Panthers' 2-0 victory over Caltech, this time on a free kick from just outside the 18-yard box.

Brown now has a career-high five goals on the season, adding to Chapman's 27 total goals. The Panthers head to La Verne before returning to Wilson Field for their final match of the 2018 season on Saturday, Oct. 27 at 11am.
