Trio of players garner All-SCIAC honors

ORANGE, Calif. – Three members of the Chapman University women's soccer team were honored with All-SCIAC selections earlier this morning. Junior Faith Holloway and sophomore Emmie Farber earned First Team honors while senior Shelby Brown was selected to the Second Team.

This is Holloway's third consecutive All-SCIAC selection but her first appearance on the First Team. The defender has been a staple on the back line for three years, helping the Panthers to five shutouts against SCIAC opponents this season. The Rocklin native played in every single minute of all 14 SCIAC matches this season, helping hold conference opponents to a 1.20 goals-against average.

Farber garnered First Team honors after leading the Panthers this season with five goals against SCIAC opponents. The striker tallied three conference game-winning goals for Chapman to help the Panthers to a 6-8 conference record. Farber started in all 14 SCIAC matches, rattling off 25 shots on goal for a .625 shots-on-goal percentage.

Brown earned All-SCIAC Second Team honors for the first time in her career after a season in which she scored four goals against conference opponents. The midfielder also proved to be clutch for the Panthers, scoring the game-winning goal in three of Chapman's last four SCIAC matches. Brown started every conference match this season, tallying 17 shots on goal.

Both Holloway and Farber are slated to return to the Panthers' starting lineup in the 2019 season.
