Women’s tennis earns fourth consecutive win

ORANGE, Calif. – The Chapman University women's tennis team rolled to their fourth consecutive win with a 9-0 victory over Pacific Lutheran this afternoon.

The freshmen ruled the doubles courts, as Isabella Oedekerk and Jordan Craft won 8-0 on court No. 1, Alisa Ogranovich and Vasilisa Trofimova won 8-2 on court No. 2 and Madison Ross and Anna Kaplan won 8-2 on court No. 3.

With a 3-0 lead heading into the singles matches, Ogranovich took to court No. 1, beating her opponent 6-0, 6-2. Ross put a couple of zeros on the board, beating her opponent 6-0, 6-0. Craft won 6-0, 6-2 on court No. 3, sophomore Raven Hampton won 6-1, 6-3 on court No. 5 and freshman Lucy Castles won 6-3, 6-2 on the No. 6 court. Trofimova took the No. 4 court to a tie-breaker after splitting the first two sets 2-6, 6-2, beating her opponent 10-7 in the final set.

The Panthers return home to Lastinger Tennis Center on Wednesday, March 28 at 1 p.m. to take on George Fox.
