Bio

In 24 years, Marino has produced some of the finest tennis players Chapman has had since moving to Division III. Eight times have Marino's singles players (men and women) become All-Americans and six times he has led the Panthers' women's team to the NCAA playoffs with regional berths in 2001 and 2007-11.

A year after finishing at the bottom of the standings, Marino led the women's team to a fourth-place finish in 2018 and earned SCIAC Coaching Staff of the Year honors. His 174 wins with the women's program is the most in school history while he also is the longest tenured coach in the history of the men's tennis program.

In 2010, the Chapman women went deeper into the postseason than ever before, reaching the West Region championship match for the first time in school history.

The women's program has climbed as high as No. 12 in the national rankings, achieving that milestone in 2010. And in 2005, he reached new heights with the men's team, earning a national ranking of No. 22 and ranking No. 7 in the West Region, the first time the men's program had been nationally ranked since the 1980s.

Will came to Chapman in 1999 from the UC Irvine women's program, where he was an assistant coach for three years. He became most familiar with Chapman as an opponent of the Panthers from 1989-90 while playing singles and doubles for Cal State Bakersfield. While at CSUB, Will was a two-time All-American in doubles, ranking as high as 25th in the nation in 1990.
