Fruci, Moore set personal bests in season's final meet

IRVINE, Calif. – In the final meet of the season, both Rose Fruci and Kirsten Moore had personal bests for the Chapman University women's track team on Saturday afternoon at the 17th annual Steve Scott Invitational hosted by U.C. Irvine at Anteater Stadium.

Fruci recorded a mark of 28.42 in the 200-meter dash to finish fourth in her heat behind a trio of Division I athletes. The freshman topped her previous best mark of 29.29 set in the U.C. San Diego Triton Invitational on April 23. In addition, Fruci finished third in her heat of the 100-meter dash with a time of 14.12.

Also setting a personal best was Moore in the 1500-meter run as she finished with a time of 5:34.01, beating her previous best by more than two seconds.

The team of Fruci, freshman Paola Pratt, sophomore Peyton Collins and senior Anne Portwood also set a PR in the 100-meter relays with a time of 53.96.
