In the first set, the Panthers and Regal evenly split the first 12 points but a 9-4 Chapman run but the hosts up 15-10. Chapman continued to apply the pressure and build its lead up to 20-12 and traded points to get the set win.

Cal Lutheran turned up its defense at the net with 15 of its 16 blocks coming in the final three sets. Monica Lundgren and Dianna Rohrer led the charge with nine and eight blocks, respectively.
