Lumsden lands another SCIAC weekly award

ORANGE, Calif. – Senior Jessi Lumsden won her second SCIAC Offensive Player of the Week award after surpassing 900 career kills last week. Lumsden led the Panthers to a 2-1 week and a big win over Cal Lutheran.

The senior outside hitter averaged 5.27 kills per set last week with two 20-kill matches on .346 hitting. She hit 21 kills against Whittier and 25 more in a four-set win over Cal Lutheran. Lumsden took 48 swings against Cal Lutheran and hit a scorching .458 after making just three attacking errors.

Her 3.66 kills per set this season ranks first in the conference. During SCIAC matches, Lumsden has averaged over four kills per set to lead the conference in total kills, kills per set and points per set.
