Volleyball earns AVCA academic honors for 14th consecutive year

ORANGE, Calif. – The Chapman University women's volleyball team has earned the US Marine Corps Team Academic Award from the American Volleyball Coaches Association for the 14th year in a row. The USMC-AVCA Team Academic Award is an annual recognition of high school and college volleyball teams that maintain a 3.3 team GPA.

The Panthers' streak of 14 consecutive years of earning the Team Academic Award is still tied for the 16th-longest streak among NCAA Division III women's teams.

The AVCA recognizes volleyball teams from high school to college, indoor to beach, and both men's and women's. In total, over 1300 volleyball teams earned the Team Academic Award in 2022-23 with 229 of those coming from DIII.
