Top Cook: Panther record holder earns All-WWPA honors

ORANGE, Calif. - Chapman University women's water polo player Sabrina Cook has been named to the All-Western Water Polo Association team for her school record-breaking performance in 2009. The senior 2-meter earned honorable mention after scoring 129 goals this season and averaging over 4.6 goals per game.

Cook shattered the previous school record of 103 goals by scoring 25 goals over the final three games of the season as part of the WWPA conference championships last month. The senior also added 15 assists and 19 steals this season and led the Panthers with 48 earned ejections. She finished first in the WWPA in both goals and goals per game.

The senior is just the second women's water polo player in Chapman history to be named to the All-Conference team and the first since 2002. Chapman posted a 9-22 mark overall in 2009.
