Women's water polo posts top-5 GPA, 10 individuals recognized

Chapman University’s women’s water polo team made it 5-for-5 with a GPA in the top-5 in the nation for the fifth year in a row. The Association of Collegiate Water Polo Coaches released its annual academic award with 10 Panthers recognized individually and the team ranking fifth in the nation in GPA.

Senior Alison Quincy headlined four players from Chapman’s women’s water polo team as the third Panther to earn All-American first team honors from the Association of Collegiate Water Polo Coaches. Freshman Grace Schade and senior Kate Avery were selected to the Second Team while junior Emily Fong earned Honorable Mention.

Water Polo finishes fourth in SCIAC Tournament

The Chapman University women’s water polo team fell to No. 2-seeded Pomona-Pitzer 8-6 in the SCIAC Tournament third place match at Redlands on Sunday afternoon. The Panthers finished the tournament in fourth-place after going 1-2 on the weekend.

Quincy's six goals lead Chapman into SCIAC semis

Senior Alison Quincy went off to lead the fifth-seeded Chapman University women’s water polo team to a 10-8 win over fourth-seeded Claremont-Mudd-Scripps in the SCIAC Tournament quarterfinals on Friday. The Panthers pulled out the big win in a back and forth affair to cap off day one of the tournament.

The Chapman University women's water polo team heads into the SCIAC Tournament this weekend, hosted by the University of Redlands. The Panthers (9-18, 4-4 SCIAC) matched their SCIAC record from last season to pull into a two-way tie for fourth place with Claremont-Mudd-Scripps.

The Chapman University women’s water polo team suffered a tough 10-8 loss to visiting Claremont-Mudd-Scripps on Saturday in Allred Pool. Freshman Grace Schade scored a hat trick to lead the Panthers in the loss.

ophomore Wilson Parnell continues our D3 Week features all the way from Florence, Italy, where is is studying abroad this semester. The water polo student-athlete had his lower left leg amputated as a toddler and has overcome the odds to continue his playing career in college.

Chapman dominates Oxy, falls to Brown in doubleheader

The Chapman University women’s water polo team split a doubleheader on Wednesday afternoon, defeating Occidental College 13-8 and falling 10-9 to Brown University at Allred Pool. Junior Alison Quincy led the Panthers with six goals, while freshman Grace Schade tallied eight assists on the day.

Junior Lindsey Campbell scored the game-winning goal with just over three minutes left to give the Chapman University women’s water polo team a 10-9 victory in its SCIAC-opener over Cal Lutheran. Senior Alison Quincy scored four times to lead the Panthers.

A final attempt to tie the match was knocked away as the Chapman University women’s water polo team fell 9-8 to visiting George Washington on Wednesday. Freshman Grace Shade scored three goals to lead the Panthers offensively.

Everyone contributes to 16-2 win over Macalester

Everyone that jumped in the pool (minus the goalie) scored for the Chapman University women’s water polo team as it defeated visiting Macalester 16-2. Three Panthers scored twice as Chapman ended a four-match losing skid.
