Quincy's first team selection headlines four All-America nods

ORANGE, Calif. – Senior Alison Quincy headlined four players from Chapman's women's water polo team as the third Panther to earn All-American first team honors from the Association of Collegiate Water Polo Coaches. Freshman Grace Schade and senior Kate Avery were selected to the Second Team while junior Emily Fong earned Honorable Mention.

Quincy became the third Panther in school history to be selected as a First Team All-American and is the second first teamer in as many years. She joined former teammate Riley Ford and Kristina Eich as the only Panthers to earn the distinction.

The senior utility from San Ramon, Calif. was an All-SCIAC first team selection this year and grabbed All-American honors for the third year in a row, becoming the fourth Panther to earn three All-American nods. She earned Honorable Mention following her sophomore and junior seasons. She graduated second on the Panthers all-time scoring list with 201 career goals.

With Schade, Avery and Fong joining Qunicy as All-Americans, Chapman matched its program-record from 2015 for All-Americans in a year. Schade was third on the team with 31 goals but led the squad with 41 assists. Avery was a big-time contributor on the defensive end with 70 steals and 22 earned ejections to go along with 38 assists to earn her first career postseason honors. She graduated third in all-time assists at Chapman.

Fong was an All-SCIAC second team selection this year and earned her first career All-American nod  after ranking second on the team with 38 goals and 38 assists.

The Panthers finished in fourth place in the SCIAC in 2016 and made the third-place game of the SCIAC Tournament for the second year in a row.
