Schade, Fong secure ACWPC All-America honors

ORANGE, Calif. – Seniors Grace Schade and Emily Fong both repeated as All-Americans for the Chapman women's water polo team as selected by the Association of Collegiate Water Polo Coaches. After leading the SCIAC in goals scored, Schade earned First Team honors while Fong was selected to the Second Team.

In her two years at Chapman, Schade scored 95 goals. She scored 64 of those this year to lead the Panthers and the SCIAC. When the Panthers' utility player from Fullerton, Calif. wasn't scoring she was still contributing with 33 assists and 68 earned ejections. She also swiped 38 steals this year for the Panthers, which ranked second on the team.

Fong led the Panthers in steals and assists to garner All-American Second Team recognition. She swiped 40 steals and distributed the third-most assists in Chapman history with 57 this year. Her 57 assists moved her up to second all-time at Chapman with 146 career assists. The 2M-defender from Saratoga, Calif. ended her four-year career with 143 steals and 120 goals scored after scoring 31 times this year.

The Panthers' two selections make it the ninth year in a row that Chapman has landed multiple selection on the All-American team. Schade earned her fourth career All-American nod after earning Second Team honors a year ago and two All-American nods at Fullerton College. Her First Team selection this year made her the third different Panther in the last year years to become a First Team All-American. Fong secured Honorable Mention on last year's team and was an Academic All-District selection earlier this year.
