Hattori notches second SCIAC defensive honor

ORANGE, Calif. – For the second time this season, sophomore Audrey Hattori was named the SCIAC women's water polo defensive Athlete of the Week.

In a win over Occidental on Wednesday, Hattori came away three steals and an earned ejection to pair with her three goals and an assist. The Panthers' went out to Redlands on Saturday and suffered a narrow 8-7 loss. However, Hattori notched another pair of steals and drew five more ejections in the close game. She also added another hat trick with one assist.

The sophomore ranks third in the SCIAC with 32 points. Her 18 drawn ejections leads Chapman while her 18 steals this season are tied for second on the team.

The Panthers are back in the pool on Thursday at 4 p.m. to take on Connecticut College.
