Water polo drops contest to Pioneers
ORANGE, Calif. — Women's water polo dropped its second consecutive home contest, this time a 13-6 loss to Cal St. East Bay on Thursday, March 30.
The Panthers were able to hang tough for the majority of the game, even heading into halftime down just one, with the score remaining 5-4 for nearly four minutes into the third quarter.
Chapman was able to keep it close at the beginning with stout defense, goalie Georgina Burton ended with 13 saves, and timely goals, two from Riley Eaves, one from Alyssa Fricker and another from Jamie Chin.
From midway through the third quarter on, however, the Pioneers pulled away and didn't look back.
Chapman now sits at 7-15 on the season and will return to Allred on Saturday, April 1 to take on Cal Lutheran at 11 a.m.
