221 Panthers honored as SCIAC All-Academic

Chapman University’s student-athletes matched their record number with 221 SCIAC All-Academic selections in for the 2018-19 school year. The Panthers had the fourth-most selections of the nine schools in the SCIAC.
Cross country programs earn All-Academic accolades

Both men’s and women’s cross country teams earned U.S Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-Academic accolades for their work in and out of the classroom. Freshman Arabella Reece was recognized individually for her work as a Communication Studies major.
Reece caps historic season at NCAA Championships

Freshman Arabella Reece capped a record-breaking season at the NCAA Division III Championships with a 148th-place finish. Reece broke two school records and was the first female student-athlete to qualify for the national championship race.
Reece becomes first female runner to land spot at Nationals

Seven members of the men’s and women’s cross country teams competed in the NCAA West Regionals earlier this morning. Freshman Arabella Reece headlined the Panthers, becoming just the second runner in school history to qualify for NCAA Nationals.
Reece earns All-SCIAC honors

Freshman Arabella Reece was selected to the All-SCIAC First Team after a stellar performance with the Panthers in her first season. She is the first ever cross country athlete to earn a spot on either All-SCIAC team.
Women take sixth, Reece in top-10 at SCIAC Championships

The Chapman University women’s cross country team had its best SCIAC finish in school history and three men scored in the top-50 to highlight the SCIAC Cross Country Championship on Saturday at Prado Regional Park. Freshman Arabella Reece continued to pace the Panthers, becoming the first Chapman female to place in the top-10.

FULLERTON, Calif. – The Chapman University men’s and women’s track and field teams competed at the California State University, Fullerton Titan Invite last night. Four Panthers hit new personal records, including freshman Eli Haas, who hit his fourth PR of the season so far.

Freshman Arabella Reece continued to shatter Chapman University cross country records in her college debut. The rookie out of Murrieta, Calif. set the new school record in the women’s 6k race earlier this morning at the Pomona-Pitzer Invite.

ORANGE, Calif. – Freshman Arabella Reece is out here shattering the Chapman 5K record – the record that she set last weekend. The rookie beat her own time by nearly six seconds to take 11th place overall at the CSU San Bernardino Coyote Challenge earlier this morning.

Freshman Arabella Reece took down the school record for the women’s 5k as she paced the Chapman University cross country teams at the UCR Invitational on Saturday. Reece bettered the previous record by 30 seconds.

Freshman Arabella Reece paced the Chapman University cross country teams with a top-5 finish at the Biola Invitational on Saturday. The women’s team took sixth behind Reece’s top time while the men’s team took fifth.

The Chapman University men’s and women’s cross country team will set off on their first run of season at the Biola Invitational on Saturday. With 10 underclassmen filling out the roster, the Panthers’ youth will once again play a big role throughout the season.
