Hansen makes strong debut at Titan Invite

FULLERTON, Calif. – With the SCIAC Championships just around the corner, two members of the Chapman University cross country team competed in their first race of the season at the Titan Invite at CSU Fullerton.

After battling injury throughout the first part of the season, freshman Josh Lee made his debut in a Panther uniform. The rookie suffered breathing issues during the race in 90 degree heat and elected to finish before completing the race despite starting off strong.

Fellow freshman Katie Hansen also made her debut, placing 30th overall with a time of 30.07.99 in a race that featured runners from all three divisions of the NCAA.

Now fully healthy, the Panthers look forward to the SCIAC Championships held at Pomona-Pitzer on Saturday, Nov. 2 at 8:30 a.m.
