Carlson leads the way for cross country

RIVERSIDE, Calif — Men's and women's cross country traveled to its third meet of the season on Saturday, Oct. 15 at UC Riverside.

The women finished 17th out of 26 opponents, and second out of the five SCIAC schools, topping Occidental, Redlands and Cal Lutheran. The men finished 20th out of 25 schools, defeating Cal Lutheran.

Annika Carlson led the way for the women, finishing 104th out of 276 runners. Tasha Kotz and Kayla Almeida both finished in the top-150 as well.

For the men, Landon Davies finished 124th out of 276, and Cole Cooper placed 149th.

Cross Country will return to action in two weeks at the SCIAC championships on Oct. 29.
