Bio

Anna has been a highly-decorated athlete in her track and field career, and that excellence has carried over to her coaching. She was an Olympian for her native Poland in the long jump, finishing fourth in the 1980 Olympic Games. She has won world championships in both the long jump and triple jump in her career and is currently still the Polish national record holder in the indoor long jump. She won five straight Polish national long jump championships and was ranked in the international top-10 in long jump four times from 1980 to 1984.

Wlodarczyk continues to compete internationally, winning five gold medals at the World Masters Championships in Puerto Rico in 2003 and adding another in the 80-meter hurdles in Honolulu, Hawaii in 2005.

During the summer of 2010, Wlodarczyk took first at the Polish Masters Track & Field Championships in the long jump in Torun, Poland and was honored with a lifetime achievement award. Later that summer she captured two more gold medals at the Oceania Masters Athletics Championships in Tahiti. In 2011, Wlodarczyk competed in Sacramento, Calif.  at the World Masters Athletics Championships where she earned silver medal in Women's 60' Triple Jump.

In 2006, Wlodarczyk experienced the thrill of returning to compete in her native Poland, claiming two golds and one silver medal at the European Veterans Athletics Championships in Poznan. Her 10.18-meters mark in the triple jump set a new European record in the Women's 55-59 age group.

Since joining the Chapman coaching staff in 1993 as the women's cross country and track coach, she has enjoyed more and more success each season. In 2014, four Chapman women's track records fell. In the Fall 2013, the Panthers' top male and female runners each finished in the top-20 in the West Region and earned All-Region honors. In 2015, Wlodarczyk oversaw the addition of men's track and field as a varsity sport at Chapman. In the fall of 2015, Chapman sent its first-ever runner to the NCAA Division III Cross Country national championships under Wlodarczyk's tutelage.

She has a Ph.D. in Physical Education from the Academy of Physical Education in Warsaw, Poland and currently resides in Orange.
